uPVC Windows / PVCu Windows

PVCu or uPVC windows are one of the important options to consider when considering replacement windows for your building or home. Modern methods of manufacture enhance the look and profile of traditional double glazing and there are range of finishes to effectively mimic the appearance of timber.

Our PVCu Windows are carefully chosen to be of the highest quality and security, as our clients generally seek a superior alternative to the mass market offerings available. Our normal offering for example includes "claw" locks as well as bolts that slide into metal keeps in the corner of the window.

Our products are tested to the latest British Standards and comply with the latest building regulations so you can be rest assured on the quality and performance of the windows.

Energy rated windows are typically supplied in a range of A-C, changes in Building Regulations (from 1st Oct 2010) require all new and replacement windows to achieve a minimum WER (Windows Energy Rating) of a "C" or have a "U" value of 1.6 or lower. Tec Glass prefer to offer our clients "A" rated windows as standard rather than the bare minimum, not only does this improve the overall energy efficiency in your home but it will be more attractive to potential buyers should you decide to sell.

Depending on your budget there are a wide range of finishes and options available. For example:

•  Mock Sliding Sash (to mimic Victorian or Edwardian traditional)
•  Easy Clean hinges
•  Restrictor hinges
•  Georgian bars (can be fixed to surface for an authentic look)
